The new state mosque at Al-Khuwair in Doha is a prestigious new building accommodating more than 10,000 worshippers.
Gearhouse Broadcast, as a leading supplier of broadcast and cabling facilities in the region, was chosen to provide the Broadcast facilities which will be used to cover prestigious state occasions.
The technical broadcast facilities include a full television production environment in standard definition using Sony BVP-E30 cameras with Canon lenses and a Sony DVS-9000 production switcher. Monitoring is provided by a Miranda Kaleido-X multi viewer system onto JVC LCD panels. Panasonic remote control cameras provide extra coverage of the main Mosque area.

ATP Tennis Masters Series 2000 to 2010 – ATP Media
Provision of equipment, Production facilities, Systems Integration and scalable flyaway solutions. The solution delivered employs high definition flyaway’s consisting of audio and video routing, distribution, communication, CCU and a monitor gallery.
The flyaway’s are configured at Gearhouse Broadcast’s UK headquarters prior to arriving on site and are then integrated with other key elements of the broadcast facility and are installed by the company’s specialist Project Engineers.
Supplying 80 crew members, 24/7 technical resource and services and full operational and logistics are management across ten venues.
Winter Olympics Vancouver 2010
Gearhouse Broadcast was chosen as supplier for the Norwegian Broadcast Corporation at Both IBC and MBC at the Vancouver Winter Olympics 2010. In competition with other suppliers, Gearhouse Broadcast came up with the overall solution, with regards, to both equipment and price.
Provision of equipment included Production facilities, Systems Integration and flyaway solutions.
Our performance was both professional and service minded at all times and they proved to come up with good ad hoc solutions under unexpected working conditions.
FIFA World Cup Football South Africa 2010
HBS outsourced the build of their technical facilities and contracted Gearhouse Broadcast to supply and install Technical Operation Centres (TOC) at ten stadia in South Africa.
Each stadium was fitted with processing and core fibre optics technology, distribution amplifiers, signal processing devices, NEO advance signal processors and fibre optics solutions for in-stadium connectivity. Additional equipment in the TOCs includes Evertz VIP routing platform, Snell router and Tektronix waveform monitors.
Providing IBC studio and production facilities to unilateral broadcasters, these facilities also include large server systems which means we are providing and almost completely tape free work flow. Once all the equipment was shipped to South Africa, there will be over 70 people on the ground to build the studios and facilities in 16 days.

The Red Bull Air Race World Championships has brought another dimension to the world of motorsport, and broadcast solution specialists Gearhouse Broadcast are helping ensure the very best of the amazing aerial action reaches its growing legion of fans around the globe.
The races are a breathtaking combination of speed and aerial agility featuring the world’s most skilful race pilots, and are set against the backdrop of some of the world’s most spectacular cities, including New York, Lisbon, Abu Dhabi and Rio De Janiero.
Gearhouse Broadcast’s has a proven track record in broadcast solutions and system integration for some of the biggest sporting events on the calendar, including this summer’s football World Cup in South Africa, the Winter Olympics and the Wimbledon Tennis Championships, to name but a few.
So when it came to finding a broadcast specialist able to help capture such a spectacular and fast-moving visual experience, SIVision – the production company of the Red Bull Air Race – turned to Gearhouse Broadcast for their broadcasting requirements.
Central to the broadcast solution supplied by Gearhouse are flyaways – essentially portable production units which contain everything you need to create a broadcast on location and outside.
The flyaways have the advantage of being highly adaptable, vital when it comes to capturing the full spectacle of race planes reaching speeds of 230mph and negotiating a series of air gates just 10 to 13 metres wide.
The flyaways built by Gearhouse Broadcast for the championships consist of audio, video routing, 12 cameras, large router and a large sound system. This is all backed by a crew of technicians and engineers, 24/7 technical resource and support and full operational logistics management across the series’ eight venues around the globe.
With three races remaining – Lausitz in Germany and Budapest in August and the finale in Lisbon in September – Britain’s Paul Bonhomme, also the defending champion, tops the rankings after winning the first ever New York Race over the city harbour with spectacular views over Manhattan.
